Certificates: Eligibility, Completion, Download and Verification
Welcome to MOCBT E-LEARNING CONCEPTS.
A certificate is a digital record recognizing the successful completion of an eligible course on the MOCBT E-Learning platform.
Certificates are issued based on the completion requirements configured for each course. Not every course necessarily provides a certificate.
This guide explains how certificates work and what to do if your certificate is not available after completing a course.
1. What Is an MOCBT Certificate?
An MOCBT certificate confirms that a student has successfully satisfied the required completion conditions for a certificate-enabled course.
Depending on the course configuration, the certificate may contain information such as:
- MOCBT E-LEARNING CONCEPTS branding
- MOC Beacon Technologies branding
- Student full name
- Course title
- Certificate number or unique credential identifier
- Course completion information
- Date of completion
- Authorized signatory
- Certificate verification information
- QR code or verification information, where enabled
The certificate is intended to provide a formal digital record of your course completion.
2. Are All Courses Certificate-Enabled?
No.
Certificate availability depends on how the individual course has been configured.
Before enrolling, check the course details to determine whether the course provides a certificate.
If a course is not certificate-enabled, completing the course does not automatically create a certificate.
3. Certificate Eligibility
To receive a certificate for an eligible course, you must satisfy all applicable course completion requirements.
These may include:
- Completing the required modules.
- Completing the required topics or lessons.
- Reaching 100% learning progress.
- Completing required practical activities.
- Completing the required course assessment.
- Achieving the minimum passing score.
- Meeting any additional requirements configured for the course.
The exact requirements may vary from one course to another.
4. Completing All Course Topics
Simply opening a lesson does not necessarily mean that the lesson has been completed.
You should use the appropriate Mark as Complete option after studying each required topic.
The LMS tracks your completed topics and calculates your learning progress.
For example:
50% → 75% → 90% → 100%
When all required learning topics have been completed, your course progress should reach 100%.
5. Course Assessment
Some certificate-enabled courses require students to complete a final quiz or assessment.
After completing the required learning content, you may be directed to the assessment page.
Read each question carefully and submit your answers.
Where the course has an 80% minimum passing requirement, you must achieve at least 80%.
For example:
- 90% — Passed
- 85% — Passed
- 80% — Passed
- 79% — Not Passed
The passing requirement displayed by the course takes priority.
6. When Does the Certificate Become Available?
For a certificate-enabled course, the certificate should become available once all required completion conditions have been successfully satisfied.
The typical completion flow is:
Study Course → Complete Required Topics → Reach 100% → Take Required Assessment → Pass → Course Completion Recognized → Certificate Generated
Where all requirements have been met, the certificate should become available through the student's certificate area.
7. Certificate Generation
Certificate generation is handled by the MOCBT LMS.
Once your eligibility has been confirmed, the system generates your certificate using the current certificate design and information configured by MOCBT.
The certificate may include your student information, course information, completion date, certificate identifier, branding, authorized signatory, and verification information.
8. Viewing Your Certificate
After completing an eligible course, go to:
Student Dashboard → Certificates
Locate the certificate associated with your completed course.
Depending on the available options, you may be able to:
- Preview the certificate
- Download the certificate
- Regenerate the certificate
- View certificate information
- Verify the certificate
9. Downloading Your Certificate
To download your certificate:
- Log in to your MOCBT student account.
- Open the Certificates section.
- Locate the completed course.
- Select Preview if you want to review it first.
- Select Download.
- Save the certificate to your device.
Keep a copy of your certificate in a secure location.
10. Certificate Regeneration
MOCBT may allow eligible students to regenerate their certificate.
This is particularly useful when an updated certificate design or certificate information has been introduced.
When a certificate is regenerated, the LMS can create a new certificate using the current certificate template and available student/course information.
This helps ensure that eligible students can receive the latest approved certificate design.
11. Will Regenerating a Certificate Affect My Course Completion?
No.
Regenerating a certificate is intended to recreate the certificate document.
It does not mean that you have to retake the course simply because you are generating an updated certificate.
Your original course completion record remains associated with your student account.
12. Certificate Verification
MOCBT certificates may include a verification mechanism such as a unique certificate number or QR code.
This allows a third party to verify the authenticity of the credential where the verification feature is enabled.
A certificate verification page may provide information such as:
- Certificate status
- Certificate number
- Student name
- Course title
- Completion date
- Issuing organization
- Other verification information
Only information intended for verification should be displayed publicly.
13. How to Verify a Certificate
If you are verifying an MOCBT certificate:
- Open the certificate verification option.
- Scan the QR code where available, or
- Enter the certificate verification number.
- Review the information returned by the verification system.
- Confirm that the certificate details correspond with the certificate presented.
If the verification information does not match the certificate, contact MOCBT Support.
14. Certificate Not Showing After Course Completion
If you have completed a certificate-enabled course but cannot see your certificate:
Step 1 — Check Your Progress
Confirm that your course progress is 100%.
Step 2 — Check Required Topics
Make sure every required topic has been marked as completed.
Step 3 — Check the Assessment
If an assessment is required, confirm that you completed it and achieved the required passing score.
Step 4 — Refresh Your Account
Log out and log back into your student account.
Step 5 — Check Certificates
Return to:
Student Dashboard → Certificates
Step 6 — Contact Support
If the certificate is still unavailable after all requirements have been satisfied, open a Support Ticket.
15. Course Shows 100% but Certificate Is Missing
A learning progress value of 100% does not necessarily mean every certificate requirement has been satisfied.
For example, the course may still require:
- A final assessment
- A minimum passing score
- A practical assignment
- Another required activity
Review the course completion requirements before contacting Support.
16. I Passed the Quiz but Cannot See My Certificate
Passing the quiz alone may not be sufficient.
Confirm that you have also:
- Completed all required course topics.
- Reached the required learning progress.
- Completed any required practical activities.
- Satisfied all other course requirements.
Once all requirements are satisfied, the LMS can recognize your course completion and make the certificate available.
17. Can I Continue Studying After Receiving My Certificate?
Yes, where course access remains available.
Receiving a certificate does not necessarily prevent you from returning to the course learning environment.
You may revisit completed course materials for:
- Revision
- Reference
- Continued learning
- Reviewing difficult topics
- Refreshing your knowledge
Your completed status and certificate remain associated with your account.
18. Certificate and Student Name
Your certificate may use the name associated with your student account.
For this reason, make sure your student information is accurate before completing your course.
If your name needs to be corrected, review your Account Settings or contact Support according to the applicable account procedures.
Do not create another account simply because you need to correct your student information.
19. Certificate and Student ID
A Student ID and course certificate are different credentials.
Student ID
Identifies you as an eligible student/member of the MOCBT learning platform.
Course Certificate
Recognizes successful completion of an eligible course.
Receiving a Student ID does not automatically mean that you have completed a course or earned a certificate.
20. Certificate and Learning Report
Your certificate and Learning Report serve different purposes.
Certificate
Provides formal recognition of successful completion of an eligible course.
Learning Report
Provides a record of relevant learning activity and course progress.
Where both are available, you may use the certificate as your credential and the learning report as supporting evidence of your learning activity.
21. Certificate File
The certificate may be provided as a digital document suitable for saving, printing, or sharing.
Before sharing your certificate publicly, check that you are comfortable with the information displayed on it.
Do not modify a certificate in a way that changes its official information or creates a misleading representation of the credential.
22. Protecting Your Certificate
Keep your original certificate file securely stored.
Recommended practices include:
- Save a copy on your computer.
- Keep a backup.
- Store a copy in secure cloud storage.
- Avoid editing the original certificate.
- Use the official verification system when someone requests verification.
23. Sharing Your Certificate
You may share your certificate for legitimate purposes such as:
- Employment applications
- Professional portfolios
- Academic applications
- Career opportunities
- Professional development records
Where a verification link or QR code is provided, retain it when sharing the certificate so that recipients can verify the credential.
24. Certificate Authenticity
An MOCBT certificate should be considered authentic when its information can be verified through the official certificate verification system where verification is available.
If you receive a certificate that appears to have been altered, duplicated, or improperly issued, contact MOCBT Support.
25. Certificate Errors
If you notice an error on your certificate, do not manually edit the certificate.
Contact Support and explain the issue.
Examples include:
- Incorrect student name
- Incorrect course title
- Incorrect completion information
- Incorrect certificate details
- Missing information
- Incorrect certificate design
The appropriate information can then be reviewed and corrected where necessary.
26. Certificate Design Updates
MOCBT may periodically improve its certificate design.
If an updated certificate template becomes available, eligible students may be able to regenerate their certificate so that the latest approved design is reflected.
This does not change the student's underlying course completion record.
27. Certificate Download Problems
If your certificate will not download:
- Confirm that the certificate is available.
- Try the Preview option.
- Refresh the page.
- Try another browser.
- Check your internet connection.
- Try another device.
- Ensure your browser allows downloads.
- Contact Support if the problem continues.
28. Certificate Not Generated After Passing
If you have:
- Completed all required topics
- Reached 100% progress
- Completed the required assessment
- Achieved the required passing score
- Completed other required activities
but your certificate has not been generated, contact Support.
Provide:
Student Name → Student ID → Course Name → Completion Status → Assessment Score → Description of the Problem
This will help the support team investigate the issue.
29. Certificate Eligibility for Free Courses
A free course can provide a certificate if the course has been configured as certificate-enabled.
The fact that a course is free does not automatically determine whether a certificate is available.
Always check the course details.
30. Certificate Eligibility for Paid Courses
A paid course may provide a certificate when the certificate feature has been enabled and all completion requirements have been satisfied.
Payment alone does not qualify a student for a certificate.
You must complete the applicable learning and assessment requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does every course provide a certificate?
No. Certificate availability depends on the individual course.
Do I need to pay separately for a certificate?
This depends on the course and MOCBT's configured policies. Check the course details before enrollment.
When will my certificate become available?
For eligible courses, it becomes available after you satisfy all required learning, assessment, and completion requirements.
I completed all lessons. Why don't I have my certificate?
Check whether you still have a required assessment, practical activity, or other completion requirement.
My progress is 100%. Why is my certificate still unavailable?
100% learning progress may not be the only certificate requirement. Check the course assessment and other requirements.
Can I download my certificate?
Yes, once the certificate has been generated and made available to your account, you can download it through the Certificates section.
Can I regenerate my certificate?
Where the regeneration feature is available, eligible students can regenerate their certificate using the current approved certificate template.
Will regenerating my certificate erase my previous course completion?
No. Regeneration is intended to recreate the certificate document; it does not erase your course completion record.
Can I continue studying after receiving my certificate?
Yes, where the course remains accessible to your account.
Can someone verify my certificate?
Where certificate verification is enabled, the certificate can be verified using the provided verification number or QR code.
What if my certificate contains incorrect information?
Do not edit the certificate yourself. Contact MOCBT Support so the information can be reviewed.
What if my certificate is missing?
Confirm that all course requirements have been completed. If everything is complete and the certificate is still unavailable, contact Support.
Need Help With Your Certificate?
If you have completed all applicable requirements but your certificate is missing, incorrect, or cannot be downloaded, submit a Support Ticket.
Include:
Course Name → Student ID → Completion Status → Assessment Result → Problem Description
Avoid submitting your password, OTP, payment PIN, or other confidential credentials.
