1. Introduction

Welcome to MOCBT E-LEARNING CONCEPTS, an online learning platform operated by MOC Beacon Technologies (“MOCBT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MOCBT website, learning management system (LMS), student accounts, courses, learning materials, assessments, certificates, support services, AI features, payment facilities, and other services made available through the platform.

By creating an account, accessing the platform, purchasing a course, enrolling in a course, or otherwise using MOCBT E-LEARNING CONCEPTS, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not create an account, purchase a course, or use the platform.

2. Definitions

For purposes of these Terms:

“Platform”

Means the MOCBT E-LEARNING CONCEPTS website, LMS, applications, PWA, APIs, and related digital services.

“Student”

Means any individual who creates an account or uses the platform for learning.

“Course”

Means an online educational programme, training, module, micro-course, or other learning product made available through the platform.

“Course Materials”

Means videos, text, PDFs, DOCX files, presentations, assessments, resources, graphics, templates, and other educational content provided as part of a course.

  3. You agree to comply with these Terms.
  4. Information you provide is accurate.
  5. You will use the platform lawfully and responsibly.
  6. You will comply with applicable course-specific policies.

Where the LMS presents a checkbox requiring acceptance of these Terms, the checkbox must be actively selected before the relevant account or transaction can proceed.

4. Eligibility

You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

Where applicable, students must meet any age, educational, technical, or other requirements specified for a particular course.

Certain courses may have specific prerequisites. Students are responsible for reviewing those requirements before enrollment.

Where a student is below the applicable age of digital consent or otherwise requires parental/guardian authorization under applicable law, the required authorization must be obtained.

Registration may require:

  1. Full Name
  2. Username
  3. Email Address
  4. Phone Number

You agree that the information supplied during registration will be accurate, complete, and reasonably current.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of:

  1. Username
  2. Password
  3. Student ID
  4. Verification codes
  5. Password-reset information

You must not share your login credentials with another person.

You must notify MOCBT Support promptly if you believe that your account has been compromised or accessed without authorization.

MOCBT will not normally ask you to provide your password.

7. Email Verification

MOCBT may require email verification before certain account features become available.

Verification may involve a one-time code or other authentication mechanism.

Students are responsible for ensuring that the email address associated with their account is accessible.

Verification codes should never be shared with another person.

8. Password Recovery

Students who forget their password may use the official account-recovery process provided by the LMS.

The platform may use the student's username and registered email address to verify ownership of the account.

MOCBT may impose reasonable security restrictions on password-reset attempts to protect student accounts.

MOCBT may assign each student a unique Student ID.

The Student ID may be used for:

  1. Course records
  2. Enrollment
  3. Learning reports
  4. Certificates

MOCBT may update course content where reasonably necessary to improve quality, correct errors, update information, or maintain the platform.

12. Course Enrollment

Enrollment becomes effective when the applicable payment or enrollment process has been successfully completed and verified.

A successful payment does not necessarily mean that enrollment has been finalized if the payment has not yet been confirmed by the applicable payment system.

Where an enrollment error occurs after a verified payment, students should contact MOCBT Support.

13. Course Access

Course access is granted to the account associated with the enrollment.

Students must not:

  1. Share course access.
  2. Transfer their enrollment without authorization.
  3. Circumvent access controls.

Where a course has a specified access period, access may end when that period expires.

Where no access period is specified, access remains subject to the applicable course terms and continued availability of the service.

14. Course Completion

Course completion is determined by the requirements configured for the particular course.

Requirements may include:

  1. Completing required lessons.
  2. Completing required topics.
  3. Passing required assessments.
  4. Completing assignments.
  5. Reaching a specified progress percentage.

Where assessments are included, students agree to complete them honestly.

Students must not:

  1. Manipulate assessment results.
  2. Circumvent attempt restrictions.
  3. Share restricted assessment answers.
  4. Impersonate another student.
  5. Submit another person's work as their own.
  6. Manipulate technical mechanisms to falsely record completion.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  1. Plagiarism
  2. Cheating
  3. Unauthorized collaboration
  4. Impersonation
  5. Falsification of academic records

  7. Unauthorized sharing of assessment answers

Consequences may include restriction of course access, invalidation of assessments, withdrawal of completion status, or other appropriate action.

17. Course Materials

Course materials are provided for authorized educational use.

Unless expressly permitted, students must not:

  1. Reproduce course materials for commercial purposes.
  2. Resell course materials.
  3. Publicly redistribute course materials.
  4. Upload protected materials to file-sharing platforms.
  5. Repackage course materials into another course.
  6. Remove copyright or ownership notices.

  2. LMS software
  3. Branding

  7. Text
  8. Videos

Nothing in these Terms grants a student ownership of MOCBT intellectual property merely because the student has purchased or accessed a course.

Students may submit or publish content through permitted LMS features, including:

  1. Comments
  2. Support messages
  3. Assignments
  4. Notes
  5. Other learning contributions

  7. Fraudulent
  8. Intended to compromise another person's privacy or security

20. Course Discussions and Comments

Where discussion or commenting features are available, students must communicate respectfully.

MOCBT may moderate or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable policies.

Administrators may:

  1. Reply to comments.
  2. Quote relevant student comments for clarification.
  3. Lock discussions where appropriate.
  4. Remove inappropriate content.
  5. Restrict abusive use of communication features.

21. Student Support

MOCBT may provide a support-ticket system through which students can report issues or request assistance.

Support requests may automatically associate information such as:

  1. Full Name
  2. Student ID
  3. Registered Email
  4. Course
  5. Enrollment
  6. Relevant transaction information

Students should provide accurate information when contacting support.

Where a ticket has already been opened for an issue, students should normally continue the conversation within the existing ticket rather than submitting multiple identical requests.

22. Support Ticket Communications

Support tickets may function as ongoing conversations between the student and authorized MOCBT personnel.

Students may receive notifications when:

  1. A support ticket is created.
  2. An administrator replies.
  3. The ticket status changes.
  4. Additional information is required.

Students should monitor their email and LMS notifications for responses.

23. Payments

MOCBT may support payment through providers including:

  1. Paystack
  2. Flutterwave
  3. NOWPayments
  4. Manual bank payment
  5. Other supported payment providers

Payment processing may be subject to the respective provider's terms.

MOCBT does not control all aspects of third-party payment infrastructure.

24. Currency Conversion

MOCBT course prices are maintained in Nigerian Naira (NGN) as the base currency.

Where currency conversion is available, the LMS may display an estimated local-currency equivalent based on current exchange-rate information.

Exchange rates may change.

The converted amount displayed before checkout may therefore differ from a later conversion performed by a financial institution or payment provider.

MOCBT may record an exchange-rate snapshot associated with a transaction for accounting, payment, and refund purposes.

25. Manual Payments

Where manual payment is available, students must follow the payment instructions provided by MOCBT.

Students may be required to provide proof of payment.

Submitting fraudulent, altered, or misleading payment evidence is prohibited.

Manual payments may require administrative verification before course access is granted.

26. Cryptocurrency Payments

Where cryptocurrency payment is available, transactions may be subject to:

  1. Blockchain confirmation requirements
  2. Network fees
  3. Exchange-rate changes
  4. Payment processor conditions
  5. Blockchain delays
  6. Cryptocurrency transaction limitations

Students are responsible for ensuring that they follow the payment instructions accurately.

27. Refunds

Refunds are governed by the separate MOCBT Refund Policy.

Because MOCBT provides digital learning services that may become accessible immediately after payment, refund eligibility may depend on:

  1. Date of purchase
  2. Date of refund request
  3. Course access
  4. Course usage
  5. Downloaded materials
  6. Assessment activity
  7. Course completion
  8. Certificate status
  9. Reason for the request

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove any consumer right or legal remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

28. Promotional Offers

Promotional pricing, coupons, discounts, scholarships, bundles, and special offers may have additional conditions.

The terms displayed at the time of the promotion will apply to the relevant offer.

Unless otherwise stated, discounts do not create a permanent entitlement to a particular course price.

29. Certificates

MOCBT may issue certificates to students who satisfy the applicable course-completion requirements.

Certificates may contain:

  1. Student name
  2. Course title
  3. Completion date
  4. Certificate number
  5. Authorized Signatory
  6. Verification information
  7. QR code

A certificate confirms completion of the specified MOCBT course.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, a MOCBT course certificate should not be interpreted as:

  1. A university degree;
  2. A government licence;
  3. A professional licence;
  4. A regulated professional certification;
  5. A guarantee of employment.

30. Certificate Verification

Where MOCBT provides online certificate verification, third parties may verify certificate information through the official verification system.

Students must not modify or falsify certificates.

MOCBT may invalidate certificates that were:

  1. Fraudulently obtained;
  2. Altered;
  3. Issued due to system manipulation;
  4. Associated with academic misconduct;
  5. Otherwise determined to be invalid under applicable policies.

31. Learning Reports

The LMS may provide students with downloadable learning reports.

Learning reports may contain information such as:

  1. Student information
  2. Course information
  3. Progress
  4. Completed learning activities
  5. Completion status
  6. Learning statistics

Students must not alter an official report and represent the modified version as an authentic MOCBT record.

32. Continued Access After Completion

Completing a course does not necessarily terminate learning access.

Where the relevant course remains available, students may continue to access the learning environment for permitted review and revision.

This may allow students to:

  1. Revisit lessons.
  2. Review materials.
  3. Review notes.
  4. Review announcements.
  5. Refresh their knowledge.

Continued access remains subject to the applicable course terms.

33. Learning Plan

The LMS may provide a Learning Plan feature allowing students to select preferred study days and times.

Learning Plans are organizational tools.

They do not necessarily restrict when a student may study.

Students may access their enrolled courses at other permitted times.

34. Learning Reminders

MOCBT may provide learning reminders based on a student's Learning Plan.

Where enabled, reminders may be sent approximately:

  1. One hour before a scheduled learning period.
  2. Thirty minutes before a scheduled learning period.

Students are responsible for ensuring that their registered email address can receive notifications.

MOCBT does not guarantee delivery of every notification because email delivery may depend on third-party infrastructure.

35. XP and Achievements

The LMS may provide an XP and achievement system designed to encourage consistent learning.

XP and achievements may be awarded based on eligible activities configured by MOCBT.

Students must not manipulate the platform to artificially obtain:

  1. XP
  2. Achievements
  3. Badges
  4. Study streaks
  5. Course progress
  6. Completion status

MOCBT may correct or remove achievements obtained through system abuse or fraudulent activity.

36. AI Services

MOCBT may provide AI-powered features for platform assistance and learning support.

AI functionality may vary between:

  1. Public/visitor pages;
  2. Authenticated student pages;
  3. Course learning pages;
  4. Other areas of the LMS.

AI responses are generated using automated systems and may not always be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for every situation.

Students should exercise independent judgment and verify important information.

37. Responsible AI Use

Students must not use MOCBT AI services to:

  1. Cheat in restricted assessments.
  2. Circumvent course requirements.
  3. Manipulate progress.
  4. Obtain unauthorized examination answers.
  5. Impersonate another person.
  6. Attack the LMS.
  7. Generate fraudulent academic records.

Course-specific AI rules may impose additional restrictions.

38. AI Privacy and Confidential Information

Students should not enter highly sensitive information into AI conversations unless the platform specifically requests and is designed to process such information.

Students should never submit:

  1. Passwords
  2. OTP codes
  3. Payment-card credentials
  4. Security keys
  5. Private credentials
  6. Another person's confidential information

AI interactions may be processed according to the applicable MOCBT Privacy Policy and configured AI-provider arrangements.

39. Public AI Assistant

The public MOCBT AI Assistant is primarily intended to answer questions concerning the MOCBT platform, such as:

  4. Email verification
  5. Login
  6. Student pages
  7. Certificates
  8. Learning reports
  9. XP
  10. Achievements
  11. Learning plans
  12. Platform navigation

The public assistant should not be treated as an authoritative source for private student-account information.

40. Student AI Assistant

Authenticated students may receive broader AI assistance for educational and platform-related purposes.

Students should understand that AI assistance does not replace:

  1. Course instructors;
  2. Official course requirements;
  3. MOCBT administrators;
  4. Professional advice;
  5. Official legal, financial, medical, or other specialist advice.

41. Account Settings

Students may be permitted to update certain account information, including:

  1. Full Name
  2. Email Address
  3. Phone Number

  6. Password

Students should ensure that their information remains accurate.

Where an email address is changed, MOCBT may require verification of the new email before activating it for account communications.

42. Mobile and PWA Access

MOCBT may support mobile-responsive access and Progressive Web App functionality.

Students may access the platform through supported:

  1. Smartphones
  2. Tablets
  3. Laptops
  4. Desktop computers

Availability of specific PWA features may depend on the device, operating system, browser, and platform configuration.

43. Technical Requirements

Students are responsible for maintaining reasonable access to:

  1. A compatible device;
  2. Supported web browser;
  3. Reliable internet connection;
  4. Functional email;
  5. Sufficient device storage where required.

MOCBT is not responsible for failures caused solely by unsupported student devices, poor internet connectivity, incompatible software, or local technical conditions.

44. Platform Availability

MOCBT will make reasonable efforts to maintain platform availability.

However, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

Temporary interruptions may result from:

  1. Maintenance
  2. Software updates
  3. Hosting problems
  4. Network failures
  5. Security incidents

  2. Extract personal information;
  3. Modify records;
  4. Disrupt services;
  5. Obtain free courses;
  6. Manipulate certificates;
  7. Alter payments.

Responsible security reporting helps protect the entire MOCBT learning community.

47. Account Suspension or Termination

MOCBT may suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because of:

  1. Serious violation of these Terms;
  2. Fraudulent activity;
  3. Unauthorized access;
  4. Academic misconduct;
  5. Abuse of the platform;
  6. Payment fraud;
  7. Security attacks;
  8. Illegal activity;
  9. Repeated policy violations.

Where appropriate, MOCBT may provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue, subject to the circumstances and applicable law.

48. Effect of Account Termination

Where an account is terminated for a legitimate policy violation:

  1. Course access may be suspended or removed.
  2. Assessments may be invalidated.
  3. Achievements may be removed.
  4. Certificates may be reviewed or invalidated where appropriate.
  5. Support access may be restricted to necessary administrative matters.

Termination does not automatically eliminate obligations that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property and payment obligations.

49. Third-Party Services

MOCBT may integrate third-party services, including:

  1. Payment processors
  2. Email providers
  3. AI providers
  4. Hosting services
  5. Analytics services
  6. Currency-rate services
  7. Security services
  8. Other infrastructure providers

Third-party services may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

MOCBT will make reasonable efforts to use reputable service providers appropriate to the relevant function.

50. External Links

The platform may contain links to third-party websites or services.

MOCBT is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or practices of external websites that it does not control.

Students should review the terms and privacy policies of external services before using them.

51. Disclaimer Regarding Educational Outcomes

MOCBT provides educational resources and learning opportunities.

However, enrollment in or completion of a course does not guarantee:

  1. Employment;
  2. Promotion;
  3. Salary increases;
  4. Admission into another institution;
  5. Professional licensing;
  6. Business success;
  7. Examination success;
  8. Specific career outcomes.

Results depend on numerous factors, including individual effort, prior knowledge, practical experience, market conditions, and other circumstances.

52. Accuracy of Course Information

MOCBT aims to provide accurate and useful educational information.

However, some subjects—particularly technology, cybersecurity, software, regulations, and rapidly changing industries—may change over time.

MOCBT may update content when appropriate but does not guarantee that every piece of educational information will remain permanently current.

Students should verify critical information using appropriate authoritative sources where necessary.

53. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MOCBT will not be responsible for losses arising solely from:

  1. Student misuse of the platform;
  2. Unsupported devices;
  3. Student internet failures;
  4. Third-party service interruptions;

This provision does not apply where prohibited by applicable law.

The use of cookies is governed by the MOCBT Cookie Policy.

57. Refund Policy

The Refund Policy forms part of the broader terms governing paid MOCBT services.

Students should read the Refund Policy before completing a purchase.

In particular, students should understand that immediate access to digital course content can affect refund eligibility.

MOCBT may modify, improve, replace, or discontinue features of the LMS where reasonably necessary.

This may include changes to:

  8. Payment options;
  9. PWA functionality;
  10. Notifications.

Where a material change substantially affects an existing paid service, MOCBT will consider appropriate communication or remedies where required.

60. Changes to These Terms

MOCBT may update these Terms to reflect:

  1. New services;
  2. New LMS functionality;
  3. Changes in business operations;
  4. Security improvements;
  5. Payment changes;
  6. Changes in applicable law or regulatory requirements.

The updated version will be published through the official MOCBT platform.

The Effective Date and Last Updated date should be displayed clearly.

61. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory legal rights that may apply to the student.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive a consumer of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

62. Dispute Resolution

MOCBT encourages students to first attempt to resolve complaints directly through the official support system.

Students should provide:

  1. Student ID;
  2. Relevant transaction reference;
  3. Course name;
  4. Description of the issue;
  5. Supporting evidence where applicable.

MOCBT will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve legitimate complaints.

Where a dispute cannot be resolved internally, the parties may use any applicable dispute-resolution mechanism or competent authority available under Nigerian law.

63. Notices and Communications

MOCBT may communicate with students through:

  1. Registered email;
  2. LMS notifications;
  3. Support tickets;
  4. Course announcements;
  5. Other official communication channels.

Students are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with their account.

Important account, payment, security, or course communications may be sent to the registered email address.

64. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with applicable:

  1. Course Policies;
  2. Refund Policy;
  3. Privacy Policy;
  4. Cookie Policy;
  5. Student Guidelines;
  6. Other policies expressly incorporated into the LMS,

constitute the principal terms governing the student's use of MOCBT E-LEARNING CONCEPTS.

65. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

66. No Waiver

Failure by MOCBT to enforce a particular provision of these Terms does not constitute a permanent waiver of that provision or prevent MOCBT from enforcing it later.

67. Contact Information

For questions, complaints, account issues, payment problems, technical support, or other matters concerning these Terms:

MOCBT E-LEARNING CONCEPTS

MOC Beacon Technologies

📧 Email: mocel@mocelacademy.com

🌐 Website: https://mocelacademy.com

Students should use the LMS support-ticket system where available for issues that require tracking or investigation.

68. Student Acceptance

Before creating an account, the LMS may require the student to actively acknowledge these Terms.

Recommended registration checkbox:

☐ I have read and agree to the MOCBT E-LEARNING CONCEPTS Terms & Conditions, Student Guidelines, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and applicable Course Policies. I understand that additional course-specific requirements may apply to courses I enroll in.

The checkbox should be unchecked by default.

69. Recommended Checkout Acknowledgement

I recommend using a separate acknowledgement at checkout, rather than relying only on the registration acceptance.

☐ I confirm that I have reviewed the course information, price, requirements, applicable Course Policies, and Refund Policy before completing this purchase. I understand that digital course access may be provided after successful payment and that refund eligibility is governed by the applicable Refund Policy.

This gives you a much cleaner record of what the student agreed to at the point of purchase.

The Terms & Conditions should be the master agreement, while the other documents provide more specific rules. This avoids creating contradictory policies and makes the LMS much easier to administer.

One particularly important implementation detail

For every acceptance of the Terms/Policies, your database should ideally preserve:

  1. Student ID
  2. User ID
  3. Policy name
  4. Policy version
  5. Acceptance timestamp
  6. IP address
  7. User-agent/device information where appropriate
  8. Registration/purchase context
  9. Exact policy version accepted

That becomes especially valuable if you later have a dispute concerning course purchase, refunds, certificate eligibility, academic misconduct, account suspension, or policy changes.
