Short Description

Learn how MOCBT E-LEARNING CONCEPTS quizzes work, when you can take them, how questions are presented, how your score is calculated, what happens when you pass or fail, and how quizzes affect course completion and certificate eligibility.

Quizzes & Assessments

Welcome to MOCBT E-LEARNING CONCEPTS.

Quizzes and assessments are an important part of the learning process. They help measure your understanding of the topics covered in a course and, where applicable, determine whether you have satisfied the assessment requirement for a certificate.

Some courses may contain quizzes, while others may use a different assessment structure.

This guide explains how to use the MOCBT quiz system from start to finish.

1. What Is a Course Quiz?

A course quiz is an assessment designed to test your understanding of the learning materials you have studied.

Questions may be based on:

  1. Course modules
  2. Individual topics
  3. Lessons
  4. Learning objectives
  5. Practical concepts
  6. Other materials included in the course

The quiz questions are intended to assess your understanding rather than simply your ability to memorize information.

2. When Can I Take a Quiz?

For courses using the MOCBT course-completion assessment system, you must first complete the required learning content.

The typical learning flow is:

Study Course → Complete Topics → Complete Required Modules → Reach 100% → Take Quiz → Pass → Certificate Available

You may not be able to access the final assessment until the required course content has been completed.

3. Complete Your Course Before Taking the Quiz

Before starting the final course quiz:

  1. Log in to your student account.
  2. Open My Courses.
  3. Select the course.
  4. Open the learning page.
  5. Study each required topic.
  6. Mark each completed topic as complete.
  7. Continue until the required learning progress reaches 100%.
  8. Complete any other required practical activities.
  9. Open the quiz when it becomes available.

Make sure you have studied the course materials before attempting the assessment.

4. How the Quiz Is Structured

The quiz structure depends on the course configuration.

For courses using the MOCBT module-based quiz system, questions can be generated and organized around the course modules.

The assessment may contain questions covering the relevant modules and topics that you were required to study.

The number of questions and assessment rules may vary depending on the course.

5. Course Module Assessment

Some MOCBT courses use a module-based assessment structure.

In this system, the assessment content can be prepared based on the modules and topics contained within the course.

The quiz-generation system may use the course learning materials to create relevant questions, answer options, and correct answers.

This helps ensure that assessment questions relate directly to the course content.

6. How to Start a Quiz

When your quiz becomes available:

  1. Open the course.
  2. Select the Quiz or Assessment option.
  3. Review the assessment instructions.
  4. Click Start Quiz.
  5. Read each question carefully.
  6. Select the answer you believe is correct.
  7. Continue through the questions.
  8. Review your answers where the system allows it.
  9. Submit the quiz.

Do not leave the assessment page unnecessarily while taking the quiz.

7. Answering Questions

Each question may provide multiple answer options.

Read the entire question before selecting an answer.

Where multiple-choice questions are used:

Question → Review Options → Select Answer → Continue

Avoid selecting an answer simply because it looks familiar.

Base your answer on the learning materials you studied.

8. Question Randomization

Where enabled by the course, quiz questions or answer options may be randomized.

This means different attempts may not necessarily present questions in exactly the same order.

Question randomization helps provide a fairer assessment experience and reduces predictable answer patterns.

9. Quiz Score

After submitting your quiz, the LMS calculates your score according to the assessment configuration.

For example:

Correct Answers ÷ Total Questions × 100 = Quiz Score

If you answer 8 out of 10 questions correctly:

8 ÷ 10 × 100 = 80%

Your final score is displayed after the assessment has been processed.

10. Minimum Passing Score

Certificate-enabled courses may require a minimum assessment score.

For courses configured with an 80% passing requirement, you must achieve at least 80% to pass.

Example

ScoreResult
100%Passed
90%Passed
85%Passed
80%Passed
79%Not Passed

The actual passing requirement displayed on the course assessment page should always be followed.

11. What Happens When You Pass?

If you pass the required assessment and have completed all other course requirements:

Quiz Passed → Course Completion Confirmed → Certificate Generated → Certificate Available

For certificate-enabled courses, your certificate should become available once all applicable completion requirements have been satisfied.

You can then access it through your Certificates section.

12. What Happens When You Fail?

Failing an assessment does not necessarily mean that you have to repeat the entire course.

Depending on the course configuration, you may be allowed to review the learning materials and take the assessment again.

Use the opportunity to identify areas where you need additional study.

13. Retaking a Quiz

If quiz retakes are enabled:

  1. Review the course materials.
  2. Identify the areas where you need improvement.
  3. Return to the quiz.
  4. Start another permitted attempt.
  5. Answer the questions carefully.
  6. Submit the assessment.

The number of attempts may depend on the course settings.

14. Quiz Attempts

Some courses may restrict the number of assessment attempts.

For example, a course may allow:

  1. One attempt
  2. Multiple attempts
  3. Unlimited attempts
  4. A specific number of attempts

Always check the instructions shown before starting the assessment.

15. Do I Need to Pass the Quiz to Get a Certificate?

If the course requires a final assessment, yes.

For example, if the course is configured with an 80% minimum passing score, you must achieve at least 80% in order to satisfy that assessment requirement.

Completing the lessons alone may not be sufficient.

16. My Course Shows 100% but the Quiz Is Not Available

If your learning progress shows 100% but the quiz is unavailable:

  1. Refresh the learning page.
  2. Confirm that all required topics are marked complete.
  3. Check whether a practical assignment is required.
  4. Check the course instructions.
  5. Log out and log back into your account.
  6. Check whether the assessment has become available.
  7. Contact Support if the problem continues.

17. I Completed the Course but the Quiz Did Not Appear

The quiz should become available when the applicable course completion conditions have been satisfied.

If it does not appear:

  1. Confirm your progress.
  2. Confirm all required topics are completed.
  3. Check the course assessment section.
  4. Refresh your account.
  5. Contact Support if necessary.

When contacting Support, provide the course name, Student ID, current progress, and a description of the issue.

18. Quiz and Certificate Relationship

For certificate-enabled courses, the quiz may be one of the final requirements before your certificate becomes available.

19. AI-Generated Quiz Questions

MOCBT may use artificial intelligence to assist administrators in creating assessment questions from course content.

The AI system can analyze the course modules and topics and generate questions, answer options, and proposed correct answers.

AI-generated questions should be reviewed and approved by an authorized administrator before being made available to students.

This process is designed to help ensure that assessment questions remain relevant to the course material.

20. Should I Use AI to Answer My Quiz?

AI tools should be used responsibly.

The purpose of the quiz is to measure your own understanding of the course.

Unless the course instructions explicitly permit external assistance, you should answer assessment questions based on your own knowledge and understanding.

Do not use unauthorized tools or assistance to bypass an assessment.

21. Quiz Analytics

Where enabled, MOCBT may record assessment information to help students and administrators understand learning performance.

Possible information may include:

  1. Quiz score
  2. Number of correct answers
  3. Number of incorrect answers
  4. Attempt information
  5. Completion status
  6. Passing status
  7. Assessment performance

Administrators may use this information to improve course quality and student learning outcomes.

22. Understanding Your Quiz Results

Your result can help you identify areas that require additional study.

For example:

90–100%

Excellent understanding.

80–89%

Good understanding and sufficient performance where 80% is the required pass mark.

Below 80%

Additional revision may be required where 80% is the course's minimum passing score.

These ranges are illustrative. Your course's configured passing requirement takes priority.

23. What If I Disagree With a Quiz Question?

If you believe a question contains an error, ambiguity, or incorrect answer:

  1. Take note of the question.
  2. Record the relevant course topic.
  3. Contact MOCBT Support or use the available reporting mechanism.
  4. Explain the issue clearly.

Do not attempt to manipulate or bypass the assessment system.

The course administrator can review the question and make corrections where necessary.

24. Technical Problems During a Quiz

If you experience a technical problem while taking a quiz:

  1. Check your internet connection.
  2. Avoid repeatedly refreshing the page.
  3. Do not open multiple assessment sessions unnecessarily.
  4. Return to the quiz when the connection is restored.
  5. Check whether your attempt was recorded.
  6. Contact Support if your attempt or result appears incorrect.

Provide a clear description of what happened.

25. Quiz Security

Assessment systems may use security controls to protect the integrity of quizzes.

These may include:

  1. Attempt tracking
  2. Session management
  3. Question randomization
  4. Answer randomization
  5. Rate limiting
  6. Activity monitoring
  7. Other assessment security controls

Do not attempt to manipulate the assessment system.

26. Mobile Quiz Experience

MOCBT is designed to support students who access the LMS using mobile devices.

When taking a quiz on a phone:

  1. Use a stable internet connection.
  2. Keep your browser updated.
  3. Read each question carefully.
  4. Avoid switching between multiple browser tabs unnecessarily.
  5. Ensure your device has sufficient battery.
  6. Complete the quiz in a distraction-free environment where possible.

27. Quiz Completion on Mobile

You can take an available assessment from a supported mobile device.

If the quiz does not display correctly:

  1. Refresh the page.
  2. Rotate your device if necessary.
  3. Ensure your browser is updated.
  4. Clear temporary browser data if appropriate.
  5. Try another supported browser.
  6. Contact Support if the problem continues.

28. Quiz and XP

Where gamification is enabled, completing learning activities and assessments may contribute to your XP.

XP is part of the MOCBT student engagement and achievement system.

However, XP should not automatically be interpreted as a replacement for course completion requirements.

A certificate is based on the requirements configured for the particular course.

29. Quiz and Achievements

Successful assessment activity may contribute to student achievements where the achievement system has been configured to recognize assessment-related activities.

Achievements and XP are designed to encourage consistent learning and engagement.

They do not replace the formal requirements for a certificate.
