Understanding and Managing Your Courses

Welcome to MOCBT E-LEARNING CONCEPTS.

Courses are the foundation of your learning experience on the MOCBT platform. Each course is designed to guide you through structured learning materials, lessons, activities, assessments, and completion requirements.

This guide explains how courses work from the moment you discover a course until you complete it and receive your certificate.

1. Finding a Course

You can discover available courses through the public Courses area.

You can browse the course catalog and use available search and filtering options to find courses based on your interests.

Depending on the course catalog, you may be able to filter courses by:

  1. Course category
  2. Course type
  3. Learning level
  4. Price
  5. Course availability
  6. Other available course classifications

You can also use the course search feature to find a specific course.

2. Understanding the Course Card

A course card provides a quick overview of a course.

Depending on the course, the card may display:

  1. Course cover image
  2. Course title
  3. Short description
  4. Course category
  5. Learning level
  6. Course price
  7. Rating
  8. Other course information

Select the course to open its full course details page.

3. Course Details Page

The course details page provides comprehensive information about the course before you enroll.

You may find:

Course Title

The official name of the course.

Short Description

A brief explanation of what the course is about.

A detailed explanation of the course content and learning experience.

What You Will Learn

This section explains the knowledge and skills you are expected to gain from completing the course.

The course content shows the modules and topics included in the course.

Learning Level

The course may be classified according to its intended learning level.

Course Instructor

Where available, you can view information about the instructor responsible for the course.

Certificate

Some courses may provide a certificate after the student satisfies the applicable completion and assessment requirements.

4. Free and Paid Courses

MOCBT may offer both free and paid courses.

Free Courses

A free course does not require payment to enroll.

You can enroll and begin learning according to the course access rules.

Paid Courses

A paid course requires successful payment before access is granted.

The available payment methods are displayed during the enrollment or checkout process.

5. Course Prerequisites

Some courses may require you to complete another course before you can enroll or access the course.

These are known as prerequisite courses.

If a prerequisite applies:

  1. Review the prerequisite displayed on the course page.
  2. Complete the required course.
  3. Return to the intended course.
  4. Continue with enrollment when the prerequisite requirement has been satisfied.

Prerequisites are designed to ensure that you have the appropriate foundation before starting more advanced learning.

6. Enrolling in a Course

To enroll in a course:

  1. Open the course details page.
  2. Review the course information.
  3. Select the enrollment or purchase option.
  4. If the course is free, follow the enrollment instructions.
  5. If the course is paid, select your preferred payment method.
  6. Complete the payment process.
  7. After successful enrollment, the course will become available in your student account.

Your course should then appear under My Courses.

7. Purchasing a Paid Course

For paid courses, follow the checkout instructions displayed by the LMS.

Before completing payment, carefully review:

  1. Course title
  2. Course price
  3. Applicable discount
  4. Currency
  5. Payment method
  6. Final amount payable

After successful payment, your enrollment should be processed according to the LMS payment and enrollment system.

If payment was successful but the course does not appear in your account, contact Support.

8. Course Modules and Topics

Courses are organized into structured learning sections.

A typical course structure may contain:

Course → Modules → Topics/Lessons → Activities → Assessment

Each module contains topics that you must study.

The exact number of modules and topics depends on the course.

9. Studying a Course

Once enrolled, open the course from My Courses and select Continue Learning or the appropriate learning option.

The learning page provides the main study environment.

Depending on the course, learning materials may include:

  1. Video lessons
  2. Text lessons
  3. PDF resources
  4. Documents
  5. Practical activities
  6. Quizzes
  7. Additional learning resources

Study each topic carefully before marking it as completed.

10. Marking Topics as Completed

After studying a topic, use the available Mark as Complete option.

The LMS records your learning progress.

Your progress percentage is calculated from the topics you have completed.

For example:

25% → 50% → 75% → 100%

When all required topics have been completed, your course learning progress should reach 100%.

11. Resume Learning

You do not necessarily have to start a course from the beginning every time you return.

The LMS can identify your learning progress and allow you to continue from where you previously stopped.

Use Continue Learning from your dashboard or My Courses area to return to your course.

If you experience a problem where Continue Learning sends you to the wrong page, contact Support.

12. Course Completion

Completing a course involves more than simply opening the final topic.

You must satisfy the applicable course completion requirements.

These may include:

  1. Completing required modules
  2. Completing required topics
  3. Reaching 100% learning progress
  4. Completing required practical activities
  5. Completing the required assessment
  6. Achieving the minimum required assessment score

The exact requirements depend on how the course has been configured.

13. Course Assessment and Quiz

Some courses include an assessment or quiz.

After completing the required course learning content, you may be directed to the course assessment.

Read each question carefully and select the answer you believe is correct.

Minimum Passing Score

Where an 80% minimum passing score is configured for the course, you must achieve at least 80% to pass.

For example:

ScoreResult
90%Passed
85%Passed
80%Passed
79%Not Passed
60%Not Passed

The actual passing requirement displayed by the course should always be followed.

14. What Happens After Passing?

When you have:

  1. Completed the required course topics
  2. Reached the required learning progress
  3. Completed the required assessment
  4. Achieved the required passing score

the LMS can recognize the course as successfully completed.

If the course is certificate-enabled, your certificate becomes available according to the certificate system.

15. Certificate Access

For eligible courses, you can access your certificate through the Certificate section of your Student Dashboard.

Depending on the LMS configuration, you may be able to:

  1. Preview the certificate
  2. Download the certificate
  3. Regenerate the certificate
  4. Access certificate information
  5. Verify the certificate

If you have completed all requirements but your certificate is not appearing, contact Support.

16. Learning Reports

Your completed learning activity may also be available through Learning Reports.

A learning report can provide information about your course participation and progress.

Depending on the course and LMS configuration, it may contain:

  1. Student information
  2. Course information
  3. Learning progress
  4. Completed topics
  5. Assessment information
  6. Completion information
  7. Other learning statistics

You can use your Learning Report as a record of your learning activity.

17. XP and Course Learning

MOCBT uses XP as part of its student engagement and achievement system.

You may earn XP through qualifying learning activities such as:

  1. Completing lessons
  2. Completing courses
  3. Passing assessments
  4. Completing practical activities
  5. Participating in qualifying learning activities
  6. Unlocking achievements

Your XP contributes to your overall student learning activity and gamification experience.

18. Achievements

Your learning activities may also contribute to Student Learning Achievements.

Achievements recognize milestones and learning activities.

For example, an achievement may be associated with:

  1. Course completion
  2. Learning consistency
  3. XP milestones
  4. Practical activities
  5. Other qualifying accomplishments

Your achievements can be viewed from the Achievement section of your student account.

19. Learning Plan

The Learning Plan allows you to organize your study schedule according to your preferred days and times.

You can establish suitable learning periods based on your personal availability.

Learning reminders may be sent before your scheduled study time.

Important

A Learning Plan does not restrict your access to your courses.

You can still log in and study whenever you want, even when you do not have a scheduled learning session.

20. Practical Labs

Some courses may contain practical assignments.

A Practical Lab allows you to complete an activity and submit your work for review.

The process may include:

  1. Open the Practical Lab.
  2. Read the instructions.
  3. Review any sample or reference material.
  4. Complete the practical activity.
  5. Submit your work.
  6. Wait for instructor/admin review.
  7. Receive an approval or rejection result.

Approved practical activities may contribute to your XP and achievement records where configured.

21. Course Notes

The learning environment can provide note-taking functionality.

You can create notes while studying a course topic.

A note may contain:

  1. Note title
  2. Note body

You can edit or delete your saved notes where the feature is available.

Notes are intended to help you record important information for future revision.

22. Bookmarks and Learning Resources

Where enabled, you may bookmark important learning materials for easier access later.

Use bookmarks to identify:

  1. Important lessons
  2. Topics requiring revision
  3. Useful resources
  4. Areas you want to revisit

23. AI Course Learning Assistance

MOCBT may provide AI assistance within the learning environment.

The learning AI can help you:

  1. Understand difficult concepts
  2. Explain course topics
  3. Summarize learning materials
  4. Generate practice questions
  5. Create study plans
  6. Clarify concepts
  7. Support your learning activities

AI assistance is intended to support your learning rather than replace your own study.

Always compare important information with the official course materials.

24. Discussion and Course Communication

Where enabled, courses may provide discussion features.

You may be able to:

  1. Ask questions
  2. Comment on course topics
  3. Participate in discussions
  4. Receive instructor/admin responses

Always communicate respectfully and remain relevant to the course subject.

25. Course Announcements

Course instructors or administrators may publish announcements relating to a course.

Announcements may contain information about:

  1. Course updates
  2. Assessment information
  3. Practical activities
  4. System changes
  5. Important learning instructions
  6. Other course-related information

Check your notifications and course learning area regularly.

26. If a Course Is Not Appearing

If a course you enrolled in does not appear under My Courses:

  1. Confirm that you are logged into the correct account.
  2. Refresh the page.
  3. Check your payment status if it is a paid course.
  4. Check your enrollment history.
  5. Check whether the course has any prerequisite requirements.
  6. Try accessing the LMS again later.
  7. Contact Support if the problem continues.

Do not purchase the same course again before confirming the status of your existing enrollment.

27. If Your Progress Is Not Updating

If your progress remains unchanged after completing a topic:

  1. Confirm that you selected Mark as Complete.
  2. Allow the page to finish processing.
  3. Refresh your learning page.
  4. Check your dashboard.
  5. Confirm that the topic is marked as completed.
  6. Continue to the next topic.

If your progress still does not update correctly, contact Support and provide the course name and affected topic.

28. If Your Course Shows 100% but Is Not Completed

A course can reach 100% learning progress while still requiring another completion condition.

For example, the course may require:

  1. A final quiz
  2. A minimum assessment score
  3. A practical assignment
  4. Another required activity

Review the course completion requirements before contacting Support.

29. Completed Courses

After completing a course, you may continue to access the course learning area where the course access rules allow it.

Course completion does not necessarily prevent you from revisiting completed learning materials.

You may return to completed topics for:

  1. Revision
  2. Reference
  3. Continued learning
  4. Reviewing previous lessons

30. Course Reviews and Ratings

After participating in a course, you may be able to submit a review or rating.

When writing a review:

  1. Be honest.
  2. Be respectful.
  3. Focus on your actual learning experience.
  4. Avoid personal attacks.
  5. Do not publish private information.
  6. Do not submit misleading reviews.

Your feedback can help MOCBT improve its learning experience and help other students understand the course.

31. Course Wishlist

If you are interested in a course but are not ready to enroll, you may be able to add it to your Wishlist.

This allows you to save courses for future consideration.

32. Course Waitlist

If a course has limited availability or is temporarily unavailable, the LMS may provide a Waitlist option.

Joining a waitlist does not necessarily mean you are enrolled.

If the course becomes available, you may receive a notification according to the LMS notification settings.

33. Course Recommendations

MOCBT may recommend courses based on your learning activity, interests, completed courses, skills, or other available learning information.

Recommendations are intended to help you discover relevant learning opportunities.

You remain responsible for selecting courses that match your personal learning goals.
